Midsummer Greetings from Finland! During the Midsummer season there usually tend to be on air lots of radio traffic from the countries of northern Europe, so tune in. At least 10/11m as well as the PMR-446 band on UHF is activated (channel 8 w/o any SELCALs, just plain simplex) as well as other ham bands too. Personally I am going to activate the CW part of the 10m ham band with following gears

TRX Ranger RCI-2950DX & Zetagi Mod. BV 131, carrier power 50 watts
Ant: IMAX-2000 & GPK-1 radial set and with several additional elevated wire radials
QRG 28028 kHz +/- QRM
Mode: A1A

Yeah, same to our friends in Estonia too! Tonight at 1930z (22.30 local in Estonia and Finland) I'll be calling on ch 8.00 with my brand new PMR-446 walkie talkie. Unfortunately my QTH is too far away from the lower loss paths provided by the Gulf of Finland and Gulf of Bothnia.
